READING PASSAGE
The whole school has gathered for the Head Prefect elections. As one of the candidates, you will give this speech to persuade your schoolmates to vote for you. You will now present your speech to the school.
Good morning, teachers and friends. My name is Arif, and I am standing here today because I believe our school can be even better — and I want to help make it happen.
Have you ever had a brilliant idea, but felt that nobody was listening? I have. That is why my very first promise is a suggestion box in every classroom, so that every single voice, including yours, can finally be heard.
Some people think a prefect is simply someone who gives out orders. I disagree. A good leader listens first, helps quietly, and never asks anyone to do something he would not do himself.
If you choose me, I will work hard to make our school a place where everyone feels safe, included and proud to belong. I cannot promise that I will be perfect. But I can promise that I will always try my very best for you.
So this Friday, lend me your vote, and together, let us make our school shine. Thank you.
